Description
This classically traditional Man O War cottage was built in 1977 by one of the island’s most loved and revered master craftsman, Mr. Eddie Albury. It sits on one of the highest points in the MOW Settlement and because of this has panoramic views not only of MOW harbour, but also Dickey’s Cay, the Sea of Abaco, and the Atlantic Ocean. The main house has two bedrooms and one bathroom, a kitchen, and a well proportioned living / dining room. With well designed cross ventilation the summer breezes always keep the inside of the house comfortably cool. A wide South East facing covered porch offers a shaded area where friends are welcomed, and the crow’s nest is an ideal place to have a cocktail as the sun goes down. While always well maintained, recent upgrades have included new roofing, windows, and hardy plank siding. Proximate to the house is a workshop / storage building. Within minutes walk are the grocery store, museum coffee shop, gifts shops, hardware store, boatyard, and ferry terminal. Whether a boater coming ashore or a new arrival this is a must see very “special” property.
